BLUE SHADE RANCH

Western Riding

Horse Courses

The groups are generally made up of 3 to 6 riders, each working on specific techniques during the lessons while working together and analysing the points to be developed for each rider.

Internships

We provide training courses for French FFE degrees or for personal improvement. Dates are usually during French school holidays but we can organize tailor-made courses with a minimum of three riders. Contact us for more information.

Hacks

We are located in a preserved setting, there are beautiful hiking trails at the foot of our fields. We organize 1h30, 3h or all-day hacks.

We are a western riding school teamed up with a horse livery and Highland Cattle farm.

We have our own school Quarter Horses and Paint Horses, who live a full outdoor life on 110 hectares of pastures and woods together with horses on livery, in the preserved natural conservation area of the Pierres Jaumâtres,  located on the slopes of Mont Barlot.

Located in the northeast of la Creuse, 35 minutes from Montluçon or Guéret, we have a 40m x 50m arena with free access to horse owners and many trails from the property.  We can also welcome riders in guest rooms or cottages near  the farm.

We provide courses, internships and hacks all year round for riders of all levels. We organize Riding Degrees and westerns competitions in our region.

Western riding is originally dedicated to working cattle with horses. Our 14hh to 15.2hh Quarter Horses and Paint Horses are the best fit for this type of riding as they have a responsive but calm temperament. Today we practice many western disciplines approved by the FFE.

We also do a lot of work in hand, because we are looking above all for a complicity between the rider and the horse.
